Hello there! I'm Cat, and I find life and people endlessly fascinating. Join me on a journey where our paths intertwine, and as we navigate the shared landscapes of life, we can engage in meaningful conversations.
With over 20 years of experience, my career has been a dynamic exploration of the human experience within the justice system, mental health and disability. I've worked extensively with trauma, addiction, mental health, anxiety, relationships, and vulnerable groups, including addressing issues related to gender identity, sexuality and sexual health. My commitment to social justice and inclusivity is woven into the fabric of my practice, operating within an ethical social work context.
Armed with a Bachelor of Social Work and an Advanced Certificate of Trauma Counselling, I am dedicated to continuous professional development, ensuring that my approach is informed by the latest insights and therapeutic techniques. My work is characterized by a holistic approach to well-being, seeking positive change for vulnerable groups and individuals.
My interests extend beyond the counselling room, reflecting a diverse tapestry that includes a love for horses, motorbikes, video games, music, stories, books, and films. These passions can help me to provide a unique perspective, enriching our conversations and fostering connection.
Currently, I am available for online and phone counselling two days a week (Monday and Tuesday), with future plans to expand to full-time availability and offer face-to-face sessions. The flexibility of online platforms ensures accessibility, and as our therapeutic relationship evolves, face-to-face sessions will become an option.
Embarking on a counselling journey is a courageous step, and I am here to accompany you. Together, let's explore, understand, and work towards positive change. Feel free to reach out, and let the conversation begin.
